Woven Roots
Sacred Ground for Growing Girls
Remembering the earth as kin, our bodies as wise, and ourselves as ever-unfolding stories.
What could our world be if we wrapped our girls—the future women of this earth—in steady love and wise guidance through the wild and tender years of becoming?

Woven Roots is a nature-based psychosocial group supporting middle school girls in creating a secure and authentic sense of self. We hold a deep longing to offer a sacred space for girls crossing the often overlooked threshold from childhood into adolescence.
Here, we slow down and help them listen—to the shifts in their bodies, the stirrings of emotion, the changes in friendship and belonging, and the quiet call of spirit—making meaning of it all, together.

Grounded in the wisdom of the natural world, embodiment practices, and social emotional skills, our girls circle offers a fun, safe, and welcoming space for girls to connect deeply with themselves and each other.

Note on exclusivity: Woven Roots Girls Group welcomes biological girls and gender expansive kiddos born with female physiology our curriculum is centered on the female experience of puberty. All sexual identities are received with warmth.

Girls Group Approach
In Woven Roots Girls Group, we walk beside each girl with a holistic, earth-honoring approach—drawing from the rhythms of nature, feminine archetypes, myth, mindfulness, Waldorf-inspired practices, and the expressive arts.
Guided by our Journey Through the Elements curriculum, we explore how earth, water, fire, and air live within and around us—offering grounding, reflection, transformation, and expression. These are the roots we offer—tools for listening inward, trusting the body, and walking with courage through the wild terrain of adolescence and into womanhood.

About Kate
Mom to Oona, 12yo and James, 9yo (not pictured)
I'm thrilled to be offering my first girls group! This is something I wish I'd had myself as a young person and now I'm inspired by my daughter to give this supportive space to her and other girls her age.

I began caring for children via extensive babysitting in my youth. My interest in human development and psychology continued and I've offered holistic psychotherapy to adult individuals and couples since 2019. When I had Oona, I became passionate about nature-based education and both my kids attended Waldorf-inspired nursery school. It was so much fun to participate in that as a parent assistant.
Now, as my oldest is entering adolescence, I long for her to have 'village-sytle' support so that she can stay connected to her authentic self through the trials and tribulations our modern culture throws at young girls and women. Not finding current offerings for this in San Francisco, I decided to be the change I want to see in the world and have undertaken tutelage with Johannah Reimer of Wakeful Nature.

I am so honored to be on this path for, and with, our girls.
