Diversity and Inclusion

As a white, genderfluid, neurodiverse, and queer therapist who serves very diverse clients, it's a vital aspect of my work to humbly examine how whiteness and other aspects of privilege have influenced my experiences and inherited beliefs and to actively explore the impact of systems of inequity on those who they're designed to diminish. It is from a place of deep respect and reverence that I welcome marginalized voices into my practice. I can be with you for the pain, I support therapeutic exploration of the dynamic between you and I in the context of our differences, and I also hold sacred the strengths, beauty, and tremendous gifts that are born through your struggle.

 

All this being said, it may not work for you to see a therapist who doesn't share important aspects of your lived experience, and this is totally okay. I consider it a professional and personal responsibility to support you in finding the therapy environment that promotes your unique healing and growth.
